The National Gallery

The National Gallery, London is one of the greatest galleries in the world, housing the nation’s collection of paintings in the Western European tradition from the late thirteenth to the early twentieth century.  

Founded in 1824, the collection has more than 2,600 paintings across 800 years of art, from early medieval Europe, to Italian Renaissance and Post Impressionists.
